student review of the Inner Critic Series

The Inner Critic Series is now complete

If you struggle with creative block, writers’ block or you are hindered by a negative internal voice, I may just have the thing for you. In the past year I’ve created three short online classes, that form a larger course called The Inner Critic Series. This series takes you on a life changing journey that is light in tone, but deep in its impact.

You can pick just one, but I recommend taking the classes in order, as they go deeper with each class.

Class 1: Creative Confidence: Learn to Overcome the Critical Voice

In this first class, you will do an exercise that will lure out your Inner Critic. You will learn why your Inner Critic exists and why it doesn’t need to go away. The class takes only 15 minutes and has been taken by over 2000 students at the time of writing this blog post. More than 120 students have already shared their project in the class and many shared how this already changed a lot for them.

Class 2: From Self Doubt to Creative Power with Photography & Journaling

This is for students who want to go deeper and start taking control. Believe it or not, you will not only get to know your Inner Critic better; you will also befriend it and start using it to your benefit. You will discover it doesn’t have to go away in order for you to function well and freely. By creating the self portrait, you will externalise this quality of yours (yes, it is a quality) and it is a reminder that it not you, but a part of you.

This second class is not for the faint of heart and should be taken with care. In under half an hour, you will learn a lot more about the Inner Critic and what its relation is to your other sub-personalities. This has nothing to do with a multiple personality disorder BTW, but these are forces within each of us, like the Pusher, the Pleaser and the Perfectionist.

Class 3: Creative Confidence Boost: Turn Your Inner Critic into an Ally

And then I recently published the third class in the series. It concludes the series with yet some other powerful exercises. Firstly, you will name your Inner Critic (if you haven’t already done so in the previous classes), then you will have a very serious talk with that critical voice and finally you will both sign a contract.

By doing so, you agree to living a life where YOU are in charge and the Inner Critic is your ally instead of your bully. This will not happen overnight and will demand practice, true commitment and extra care for yourself.

Are you ready? Let’s do this >>

Why Skillshare?

In 2017 I became a student on Skillshare and I published my first classes on the platform. I was then still mainly focused on photography and talking head video (the soft side and people skills). Like Courage for the Camera Shy and later: The Authentic Portraiture Toolkit for Photographers

By taking classes on Skillshare, I could further develop and enjoy my own creativity and I’ve taken dozens of classes on watercolour, drawing, painting, doodling, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Animation, photography, personal development and more.

Being a teacher and a student has made my life so much better. I’ve not only learned and improved many skills. I’ve also met lots of amazing people from all over the world that I would otherwise not have met.
If you are new to Skillshare, you can try out if this is something for you too. If you follow this link or any of the other links on this page, you get to join us for free for a whole month! Just sign up with your creditcard, which will only be charged if you decide to stay.

See you in class!
